Battersea Power Station is London’s popular regeneration project. Every new addition marks a new chapter in its transformation. That’s why every detail matters, including the way people move around the development.
When the Phase 3 development reached the wayfinding stage, the project team needed more than a signage manufacturer. They needed a wayfinding partner who understood complex developments, did the designing part and took the installation responsibility.
ARC UK got this opportunity and delivered a premium signage solution that complements the architecture and makes navigation easier for residents and visitors alike. Let’s dive into this case study where we have covered design development, bespoke fabrication and installation of the complete wayfinding package.

Battersea Power Station has become one of London’s well-known destinations. The previous station has now completely changed and brings together homes, offices, shops, restaurants and public spaces within a single development. Phase 3 came with a new collection of residential buildings designed by internationally recognised architect Frank Gehry. The architecture is unique. The finishes are premium. Every element across the development reflects that same level of quality.
ARC UK already knew the site well. The team had supported Battersea Power Station on several projects over the previous seven years. That experience meant the project could move forward with confidence from day one.
Every successful project is built on a well-managed process. From the first conversation through to final installation, ARC UK coordinated each stage to ensure quality, consistency and efficient delivery.
We worked closely with the client and project architects to understand the design vision, wayfinding requirements and programme.
Wayfinding concepts were refined to complement the architecture while creating a clear and intuitive navigation system.
Prototype signage was produced and reviewed, allowing materials, finishes and detailing to be approved before manufacturing commenced.
Each signage element was fabricated to the agreed specification, ensuring consistency across the complete wayfinding package.
Before installation, every sign underwent thorough quality inspections to verify finishes, fabrication and overall build quality.
Our installation specialists coordinated the programme alongside the wider construction schedule, ensuring every sign was installed accurately and professionally.
The finished wayfinding system became an integral part of Phase 3, helping residents and visitors navigate confidently while complementing the development’s architectural identity.
“We are extremely happy with the quality and finished result of the first phase. At Battersea, we knew that ARC could manage our print requirements, but we had no idea that we could engage them for Signage & Wayfinding as well. It made sense to award ARC the Signage Contract as there is a long-standing relationship with ARC, as they have been on the Project for many years.”
Developers, architects and project teams choose ARC UK because successful wayfinding projects require more than great signage. They require careful planning, technical expertise and dependable project delivery.
