FAQs on Backlit Display

Large format color graphics illuminated from behind by a light source are used in backlit signage for businesses (mostly by LED lights today). Indoor applications for backlit sign graphics include malls, tradeshows, kiosks, and airport displays.

Backlit Letters Signs are also called halo lit signs, reverse lit channel letters signs. They can be used both indoors and outdoors. The face and sides are made of aluminum and the back is made of a translucent material, such as Lexan, to allow for light transmission.

Backlit signs can be made in virtually any size to suit your needs, using materials such as drop-in films, adhesive material, flex-face vinyl, and rigid material as alternatives.

Translucent vinyl decals are used to create backlit signs. This is a type of glue used to produce graphics for illuminated signs. Transparent materials such as Lexan, acrylic, and glass are used to apply the translucent vinyl. Backlit signs can provide excellent visibility at night if they are illuminated.

A dye sublimation transfer printing technology and long-lasting LED illumination installed behind the fabric picture are used to create backlit fabric graphics. This will highlight and illuminate the artwork, logo, or message on display.

The light from the LED bulbs is directed into a diffuser, which spreads the glow evenly across the lightbox and brightens the graphic. Edge-lit LED lightboxes are ultra-thin, low-cost, and energy-efficient. They’re ideal for storefront and directional signage.

Backlit posters are made to be used with a light box that is framed. They’re printed on a special semi-transparent material that’s been coated with a thin coating that distributes light evenly across your poster. As a result, the poster has a beautiful glow about it.

The graphics are printed on a matte polyester film with a thickness of 9 mil, resulting in vivid, brilliant visuals. This backlit poster is constructed of an opaque material with excellent light diffusing capabilities, making it suitable for use both indoors and outdoors.

Backlit Banners are made of a PVC material blend that allows for optimal light diffusion over all prints. All photographs are printed on high-definition digital printers, resulting in crisp, vibrant images that last a long time. Backlit vinyl banners are commonly utilized at trade shows and other large indoor or outdoor events.

As already stated, LED backlit TVs only have LEDs on the edges of the screen, while Full LED TVs have LEDs spread out in a grid across the entire display. The biggest advantage of Full LED over LED backlit is having brightness spread more evenly across the screen.

Backlights on an LED display are light-emitting diodes, as opposed to fluorescent backlights on a typical LCD panel. LED monitors often have better picture quality, although their backlighting options differ. And some backlighting setups produce greater results than others.
