The act of printing digitally created pictures directly onto a range of media substrates is known as digital printing. Unlike offset printing, there is no requirement for a printing plate. Instead of using plates like offset printing does, digital printing can also utilise toner (found in laser printers) or bigger printers that use liquid ink. Digital printing is more effective for orders with fewer pieces and high levels of detail. Between the digital document files and the finished result, unlike traditional printing, there is no pre-press step. Additionally, there is no need for filthy formatting tools like film plates or photo chemicals.
